Internal WiFi can be tracked by Hospital location systems
Wake-up functions ensures ‘off’ pumps can still be located
Separate RTLS tags not required
Locating a pump using Real-Time Location Service (RTLS)
The MAC address in the Wi-Fi pumps is used by RTLS systems for device tracking using the access points in the hospital Wi-Fi system.
Arcomed pumps can be configured with a ‘wake-up’ time so even if they are switched off and unplugged, the Wi-Fi will ‘wake-up’, so it’s location is known, and shut down again, so it can still be located, so an external tag is not required.
